Approach & Philosophy

What kind of work does Dr. Melanie Carlone do?

Dr. Carlone blends physical therapy, somatic education, and trauma-sensitive bodywork to help clients move out of pain and into embodied healing. Different from traditional phsycial therapy, she blends a whole body persepctive into every session bringing body/mind/spirit aspects into healing helping foster change that endures and leaves everything better.

What makes her approach different?

Her work goes way beyond symptoms to address the “root cause”, the underlying patterns in your nervous system, your muscular and skeletal systems. By combining clinical knowledge with mindful movement and client‑centered awareness the results people reports are uncommonly beneficial.

Is this therapy, coaching, or bodywork?

It’s a hybrid of integrative physical therapy, trauma-informed bodywork, and movement education. Some clients seek rehabilitation; others seek nervous system support or embodied awareness. Othersd want to be able to exercise again or do some sports they have been struggling with ude to injury.
All benefit.

Is this right for me if I’ve tried PT or massage before?

Yes—especially if those approaches only gave temporary relief. Dr. Carlone works with clients who need a more holistic, lasting shift.
