what is INTEGRATIVE physical therapy?
Integrative PT is more than fixing a body part—it’s a return to how you were designed by Nature to move, breathe, rest, and relate. At Align Renew Thrive PT, we take a whole-body, whole-person approach to healing. That means looking beyond your symptoms to understand how your posture, nervous system, breath, emotions, daily patterns, and even your beliefs shape your experience of pain and vitality.
We use video gait and posture analysis, personalized somatic movement sequences, and hands-on alignment work to help your body remember what it’s designed to do: move freely, stand tall, and feel safe.
Whether you're coming in with an injury, chronic pain, or a desire to improve your mobility and energy, we’ll meet you where you are—and guide you toward lasting realignment and relief.Don’t believe me. Look at the numerous testimonials people have given time and again to the difference a holistic approach makes!
What is Somatic Therapy and How Is It Used Here?
Somatics is a science of felt sense. It’s the practice of tuning into your body from the inside out.
At ART PT, somatic therapy involves:
Slow, intentional movement that re-educates your muscles and nervous system
Breathwork and mindfulness to downregulate stress responses
Postural and spinal retraining to unwind chronic tension and imbalance
Functional re-patterning so your body remembers how to move with integrity
It’s subtle, powerful work that creates real, lasting change—especially when pain is rooted in compensation patterns, trauma, or stress.
Do You Just Treat the Site of Pain?
No. We treat the whole system, not just the symptoms. Pain in your shoulder may stem from how you breathe. Foot pain may come from your hips or spine. By exploring these root causes, we help restore your body’s ability to heal and support itself.
What Role Do Orthotics Play in Your Work?
While somatic re-patterning is the core of our approach, custom orthotics can offer important structural support when needed—especially when there are long-standing alignment issues in the feet, knees, hips, or spine. My way of doing inserts REMINDS YOU TO ALIGN. It does not force but stimulates you to stand and move well.
A shoe store told me I need three different pairs. Do I?
No, one pair made to your specific feet is all you need. You can order more pairs if you don’t like moving them from shoe to shoe. They can also often be modified over time if needed and appropriate.
Will your Orthotics fit in the shoes I already have?
Yes and no. They will fit in most every shoe. Pointed toe shoes not so much.
Will I be able to take my orthotics home the same day I purchase them?
No, these are custom made and have a two week turnaround time to manufacture.
Can kids wear custom orthotics?
Yes, kids feet and their alignment can be improved greatly by our MAGIC orthotics system.
I buy good shoes, but my feet still hurt. Can orthotics help me?
Absolutely! It’s common for people to think that their shoes are the problem, when in reality it’s usually the foot in the shoe, and the body above it, that’s the problem. Your feet and your whole body alignment are improved by MAGIC custom functional orthotics.
Can I Use Insurance or My HSA?
We are a licensed medical provider and can issue prescriptions for orthotics. While we do not bill insurance, many clients are reimbursed via Health Savings Accounts (HSA/FSA) or insurance out-of-network benefits. We recommend checking with your provider.
